United 3 Spurs 1

We're Ron our way to Cup glory

Man United 3 Spurs 1
CRISTIANO RONALDO hit the 25-goal mark for the season to fire United into the FA Cup fifth round.
The Portuguese wing ace scored a late double and vowed to carry on shooting them to glory.
He said: “It’s fantastic to get 25 — now it is important we go on and win this cup.”
Ronaldo admits he is enjoying a dream season but has set his heart on winning the Cup after losing in the 2005 and 2007 finals.

I'm confident

Boss Alex Ferguson hailed his tally as “amazing” but the player, 22, hopes there are many more to come over the last three months of the season.
Ronaldo added: “I’m having a great season thanks to my team-mates.
"I hope it can carry on like this but the most important thing is we keep winning.
“This is a competition we want to win and I’m confident we can.”
Ronaldo grabbed his first — and United’s second — from the spot after Michael Dawson saw red for flicking the ball away from Wayne Rooney with his hand.
The United hero missed his last spot-kick at West Ham but had no hesitation stepping forward.
He said: “I didn’t have the West Ham penalty on my mind. I felt confident so I’m very happy I scored.”
Ferguson admitted his team were not at their best but was pleased to be in the hat.
The United boss said: “It wasn’t a great performance, our forward players were a bit quiet today.

“Sometimes you are scrappy and sometimes you are brilliant — but the bottom line is we’re in the hat.
“There are not many Premier League teams left but we’ll probably get a top-four team! I think it’s 15 out of the last 18 ties we’ve had against Premier League teams.”
Fergie claimed Dawson could count himself unlucky to be sent off. He added: “It was a penalty kick, whether was it was a sending off I don’t know. It’s harsh there’s no doubt about that.”
Spurs boss Juande Ramos refused to discuss his goalkeeping situation despite Radek Cerny’s howler for United’s third.
Tottenham are also on the brink of signing Jonathan Woodgate, but the Spanish coach would not discuss his new £7.25million man either.
He said: “There were three or four chances we created but didn’t manage to put them away.
“I don’t think the win against Arsenal affected us. We were always in the game and matched them We had chances to come away with something.”
